Requirements to receive funds
The person receiving funds must be over 18 years of age, have an unexpired government-issued photo ID, have a bank account in a supported country and the currency the fundraiser was set up in, and meet all of the requirements listed below for their country. If you don’t meet the requirements for any of our supported countries, please do not create a fundraiser. You must ask someone who does meet the requirements to create one for you or add them as a beneficiary. If you create a fundraiser and cannot receive the funds, all donations will be refunded.
We’re working to expand our services to more countries in the future, but for now, your fundraiser must be created in one of the following countries:
Fundraiser requirements by country
USA
- A US Social Security number or ITIN
- A US driver’s license, US State ID, or a passport from any country (cannot be expired)
- A residential address in one of the 50 states (not a PO box)
- A US phone number
- A US bank account in your name (Important: If you’re raising money for someone else it should be stated when creating the campaign to enable withdraw to your bank or someone elses account.)
- Must be 18 years of age or over
Canada
- A Canadian bank
- A physical Canadian mailing address (not a PO box)
- A Canadian government-issued photo ID or a passport from any country (cannot be expired)
- A Canadian phone number
- A Canadian Tax ID
- Must be 18 years of age or over
Brazil
- A bank account in Brazil
- A government-issued photo ID or a passport from any country (cannot be expired)
- A phone number
- Must be 18 years of age or over
UK
- A bank account in the UK
- A National Insurance Number
- A passport from any country or a UK Driving license (cannot be expired)
- A UK phone number
